Great to be out playing shows again after all of our time cramming out new songs in the basement. Had a blast playing The Toad Tavern 80's party. All the bands rocked the house. Sadly, Wanker guitarist Stiffy had to put his beloved high heel ladies boots to rest after 16 years due to the loss of a heel while jumping off a barstool. KELLI*SAID sends you warm wishes during your time of mourning. We also had a very successful show at Baker’s Street Pub as well. It was our first official cover show and what a bunch of fun. I highly encourage you to check out Baker’s Street if you get a chance. Great place, great food and great staff. We will be playing there March 14th and 15th and would love to see you there. Other upcoming shows are the Walnut Room, Saturday, March 3rd, and March 10th at The Toad Tavern as part of the Tommypalooza three day rock benefit. Love you all, Kelli / Kelli*Said 1/15/2007 - Hi gang!! Sorry for the long delay since the last news post. We didn’t disappear or vacate the basement over the holidays, quite the opposite actually. Keith, Ryan, Dazz, George and I have been spending the last few months getting back in touch with all the great songs from past and present that make us do what we love doing today. Yes everyone, we have concentrated our time with learning everything from AC/DC to Snow Patrol, some being true to the original and some with a Kelli*Said spin. What a great time we have had doing it too. Of course we are mainly kids of the 80’s so there are quite a few of those artists covered as well…and yes Kelli*Said is finally doing a Blondie song. So now that we have learned all of these songs, we plan on taking them out to the venues that book cover bands. We think it will be a bunch of fun, since we can perform for more than one set and have the opportunity to play out more often. The first show is already in the books…so hope to see all our fan's old and new on February 24th at Baker’s Street Pub in Lakewood for our three set debut, from 9:30 to 1 A.M. Don’t think we have put our originals to rest. We have been practicing and writing new material as well. We will continue to do shows that showcase Kelli*Said. We will be playing The Toad Tavern on February 16th with some great bands and great friends. The line up includes, “A Melodic Daydream”, Police tribute band “Message in a Bottle” and the legendary “Wanker”…always a party when those boys show up. We have new photos posted from our show at the Pepsi Center last Sunday. Thanks to all that came out and braved the cold and the wind. It was so windy that at one point during the show a gust came through and sent Keith's guitars and guitar amp crashing down to the ground. Thanks to Mike (Zen Barons), Dane and Jen for rushing to thier aid so we could continue with the song. Guitars and amp say they are doing fine and that they will continue to perform all thier own stunts. Thanks to Santa Crush too for booking us...Oh and the Crush won the game. We will be going on first so get there early and get a seat. 02/23/2006 we will be playing at Croc's. This will be our first time doing a double set. Hope everyone is full of good spirits and enjoying the holiday season. We have been trying to stay warm here in Denver. It was a wopping 7 degrees yesterday. Speaking of spirit, KELLI*SAID has the honor of joining nine cool bands to help out a great cause on December 23rd at the Toad Tavern. We are doing a benefit show for the homeless kids in Denver. For $5 you can come have a great time and give your money to an important cause. KELLI*SAID will be donating proceeds from our CD sales to the benefit as well. The Show starts at 5:30, and we go on at 9pm. Thanks to all that came out to the Toad Tavern last Friday. Always a blast to see everyone and have a good time. Songs such as 'No Choice' and 'The Greatest Hit Song' which are really becoming are favs. Look for some rough demo samples available soon.... We are gonna be doing quite a bit more performing in 2006 with several college radio stations spinning the new disc. Look for some tour dates in the coming months. We will be performing locally as well as we have been in contact with some key people. Our next show is Dec 2nd at the Toad Tavern. We go on around 10pm. We have greatly improved some technical things that will really improve our sound. Gotta come see us! As you know we will be filming a live DVD and recording a live CD at Hermans on Sept. 24th. We are super excited to be on such a great bill with Rubber Planet, The Trampolines and Silence the Satellites. Special thanks to Brice with RP for all his hard work. Can't wait to see all of you at our party!! xo 8/11/2005 - Hello to all! A couple of notes: We are offering a free CD single from our new CD to be officially released on Oct. 4th. If you would like one, please click here. Include your mailing address! We have submitted our artwork and Audio to duplication and should have the CD in our hands at the end of August. Needless to say, there will be some shots of tequila to be had once they arrive! Also, we have updated our EPK kit with a new streaming song available only there. We will continually change out songs in different places to give you a hint of what's to come on the new CD. Keep looking for em! Lastly, the Thank yous on our CD were so hard! Why you ask? Because of so many great people and bands that are very important to us. If you think you are in there, you probably are! Look for your name or if you are in a band that crossed our paths, you are represented too! We are so proud of the Denver Scene and all the people that support it!! xo 8/1/2005 - OMG, we are so close to having our new CD "LETS GET THIS ON!" ready for you! We are off to duplication with our friends at HapiSkratch and DXS syndicate and should have it our hands by late August. We are also putting together a grand CD release party. Look for us out on the streets handing out our new Single (yet to be named, shhhh, it's a secret) to get everyone as excited as we are about what's been going on here at the KELLI*SAID camp. xo 7/20/2005 - Hi All, As you see we got the website up and running thanks to Eric of Neo Colorado and Keith who put in a lot of time and creativity. Go to our messageboard and tell us what you think of the website. Or just go to the board and post anything. That is what it is for. About two more weeks in the studio and we will be on our way to getting this bad boy (a.k.a. "Let's Get This On") out. I'm ready to get back out and play again and see everyone. Please leave us some feedback on our new messageboard about our website! xo 5/25/2005 - We just finished tracking at Colorado Sound Studios on Monday 5-23. The KELLI*SAID machine has been going at it since February 25th....Tom Germain has been an incredible engineer and friend who has really helped us alot. Cheers to him!---- We are doing a great benefit show June 11th at Creekside Park in Glendale for the Denver Rescue Mission and the YMCA. DaDa is the headliner and all proceeds go to the above mentioned. We go on at 4:30pm. Please do your part and attend! Benefit info Look for our new CD on shelves and on-line by early July.
